This shelf starts from a tribal form, close to the language of a y2k tattoo, stretched digitally until it sits somewhere between excavated artifact and digital gesture. Ceremonial geometry run through aerodynamic curves, in motion and frozen in stone at once.

Joey Aji is a Brooklyn-based designer working between sculpture and furniture. His pieces start as digital models built from architectural fragments, domes, columns, corbels, and carved ornament, then get 3D printed and hand-finished in marble dust and mineral resins until the surface passes for stone. Syrian American and raised around Orthodox and Mediterranean architecture, he treats those forms as a language he can reshape by hand.
