The Fluted Lamp transforms a single illuminated fluted glass block into an object of quiet monumentality. The refined raw steel framework allows the warm glow of the fluted glass to come to the fore, while the vertical channels catch and refract the light, creating a rich sense of depth and rhythm. Elevated by a stepped plinth and supported by slender steel posts, the composition recalls the permanence of architectural forms without sacrificing visual lightness.

Micah Rosenblatt is a Brooklyn-based designer and metalworker making sculptural furniture that pairs industrial forms with a whimsical edge. Trained hands-on in New York's high-end metal shops, he is drawn to steel's capacity for great strength with visual lightness, tracing the outline of a form rather than its volume. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Architectural Digest, and the A24 film Problemista.
