Part of Whalen's Frutti di Mare series, a hand-built vessel in brown stoneware with a clear glaze interior. The rim folds open like a shell.

Tania Whalen is a British ceramicist working in Brooklyn. She hand-builds every piece by pinch and coil, keeping to the raw integrity of the clay and the marks the process leaves behind, and spent eighteen years living in Japan before her practice began.
