A sculptural form hand-built in black sculpture clay, part of Whalen's ongoing series inspired by the ginkgo. The exterior is raw and textured, with a glossy clear glaze applied just to the lip.

Tania Whalen is a British ceramicist working in Brooklyn. She hand-builds every piece by pinch and coil, keeping to the raw integrity of the clay and the marks the process leaves behind, and spent eighteen years living in Japan before her practice began.
