A hand-coiled moon jar with the foot left in raw stoneware and the body given over to the wildflowers that keep turning up in Court's work. She builds first and paints after, treating the finished form as a canvas.

Sasha Court hand-builds her vessels in Halifax, Nova Scotia, coiling stoneware from the bottom up and treating each form as a canvas for glaze once it's built. She studied mathematics and engineering at Dalhousie and spent years in tech before ceramics took over. Some of her work is about hope and faith in people. The rest is about play.
