The tallest of the collection and nearly flat, a sail-like form in cognac dotted with chocolate and pale blue, a small spout pinched up at one corner. Built upward by coil as gravity tugged at the rising clay, its surface honors what Rice calls the selflessness of the earth, the material at the center of all her work.
