100% fine Rambouillet sheep wool from Frank Middle Concho Ranch in Texas, one of the few remaining wool sheep ranches left in the state. Spun in Wyoming and designed in New York City, this is an entirely American-made throw blanket.
Rambouillet is often called "the French Merino," developed in the 18th century when Louis XVI bought Spanish Merino sheep and established the Bergerie Royale to breed a superior fleece. The result is an ultra-fine fiber with a natural crimp that yields premium softness, while also being sturdier and less prone to pilling than its Spanish cousin. Heavy and sumptuous, the blue pattern carries a cool depth that works draped across a sofa, folded at the foot of a bed, or pulled close on a cold evening.
