Drawing from military wisdom that the best defense is often the best offense, Hasta Iustitiae translates to "spear of justice" in Latin. NJH created this white stoneware piece to highlight the beauty found within the ugly side of what we call justice, exploring how protection and aggression become inseparably intertwined when survival is at stake.

This powerful sculpture embodies that uncomfortable truth through NJH's labor-intensive coil construction, where thick clay layers build the vessel's body while sharp organic thorns emerge like defensive weapons.
