A walnut braid candlestick holder paired with a comb-shaped match holder, both wall-mounted. Trowbridge wanted this piece to feel like comforting each other, like the act of braiding another's hair. The braid is carved from solid walnut and hangs from a braided cord, while the comb sits flush against the wall with a small mirror inset. Together they reference the private rituals of getting ready, of care between women, translated into sculptural wood.
