Forged by hand from cast dark bronze, the Alexia Candlestick by Fakasaka is an eerie sculptural piece. With spindly legs that dance across tabletops, the candle holder is a character on its own or with a lit taper's drippy wax adding to its intrigue. 

Fakasaka is a design-oriented company that explores the contrast between the man-made and the natural through shapes and finishes that create a clear aesthetic. The eponymous design company of Brazilian artist Fernando Akasaka, Fakasaka is based in São Paulo. Akasaka produces intricate, cast bronze collectible objects, furniture, and jewelry that draw inspiration from world-renowned surrealist masters Alberto and Diego Giacometti. Like the two symbiotic siblings, Akasaka draws inspiration from working with his daughter, Alexia.
