STYLE GUIDE: BUSTS
If you've been following LES for even a little while, you've probably noticed that we have a thing for busts. We encounter them often on our sourcing trips to vintage markets and antique fairs (and our Artist Dorri Buchholtz practically specializes in them), but it seems they've become quite popular outside of the collector's world as well. Often found in rich stones and aged plaster, the figural sculptures bring texture to a room and create new depth within a space or landscape. For us, the older the better. We love when a marble face has seen better days or cracks have formed wrinkles in its surface. It reminds us that art is human too. Check out (some of) our favorite bust images below, and see our current collection of available busts at the bottom of the page.
