THE ART OF DRAPERY WITH WOVN HOME
Â
Based in New York City, Wovn Home is a testament to the timeless elegance of bespoke window treatments. Founded in 2019 by Davina Ogilvie, a visionary with a rich background in fashion and a profound appreciation for artisanal craftsmanship, Wovn Home has revolutionized how we perceive and adorn our windows. With a commitment to exceptional quality, Davina and her team at Wovn Home collaborate closely with Belgian linen craftspeople and uphold the artistry of North Carolina's upholstery traditions to create custom drapery, shades, and coordinating hardware that transform any room.
The story of our partnership with Wovn Home began with a shared love for the finishing touches. We strongly believe that the magic of design is in the details, and we knew linens from Wovn Home would elevate the LES showroom, bringing sophistication and warmth. Davina shares our understanding of the importance of aesthetics and functionality in design, which was influenced by her global upbringing.

1. Tell us about how you got started with Wovn home? What led you to found the custom drapery company?
Before starting Wovn Home, I was decorating my own apartment and struck by how few options there were when shopping for my own window treatments. There were either hard to navigate high end boutique services or uninspiring premade big box options. Having worked for over a decade in the fashion industry at brands like J. Crew and Steven Alan and seeing the progress being made in ecommerce, I realized there was an exciting opportunity. I launched Wovn Home in 2019 as an online destination for easy to source high quality custom window treatments, and since then we have cultivated a strong, supportive design community.Â
2. What sets you apart from more traditional workrooms?
We are proud of our exceptional quality and craftsmanship, but also our standard for personalized, high touch service. There are so many important details that go into bringing a project to life, and I think our service and attention to detail really sets us apart.

3. How would you describe your style when it comes to home?
I tend to embrace the eclectic, collected side of my personality when it comes to decorating my own home. I like to create warm, inviting and layered spaces mixing colors and patterns. I am endlessly inspired by all of the incredibly beautiful textile lines out there. Most importantly, my home is a family home. I have two young kids and we put the place to work. I believe that nothing’s too precious to enjoy every day.
4. What is your advice for someone who needs window treatments and doesn't know where to start? Â
When it comes time to selecting the right window treatments for your space, I always first consider the size of the window. I find large windows look best with curtain panels flanked on either side. The proportions of full length drapery work well with the scale of larger windows and add a touch of drama, which is why I often recommend them for living and dining rooms. Smaller windows tend to look best with either tailored or more loose, relaxed Roman shade styles.

5. Is there a project you have done recently that you are particularly excited about and why? (include photo if you have). Â
It is hard to choose! But we recently completed window treatments for a home in LA for the Jenni Kayne interior design team. It was a fun and beautiful project, and I’m excited to be working with the team again on a home in upstate New York we’ll be installing this summer.Â
6. Solid textiles or patterns?
It’s pattern for me!

7. Tell us a bit about the curtains you did for the LES showroom
The showroom curtains are in our Flax Belgian linen fabric, which is a warm neutral that unifies this room’s palette so effortlessly. Custom window treatments are the ultimate finishing touch when it comes to the design of a room, and the added texture of the drapery here adds a beautiful layer of softness to the room.
The office drapery is in a new fabric we’re excited to launch later this year, stay tuned @wovnhome for more!
