LEX PAVONE

Lex Pavone of La Viva Verde is a ceramic artist focusing on one-of-a-kind, adorned ceramic creations. Inspired by ancient art, her trademark design features anthropomorphic vessels with human faces of different decoration and style. Many La Viva Verde forms are made using various hand-building techniques, with larger pieces coil-built and each face sculpted individually. This process allows creation to slow down, bringing intention into every level of the design process. Although the ceramic works are elaborate, they are meant to be used in everyday life. Lex hopes her art pieces and their use will inspire ritual - a time to focus on the now and how sacred each moment is.
