Lost Quarry, founded by Doris Josovitz, is creative by nature, rebellious in approach, and inspired by what’s all around us. They are finders, storytellers, and creators who are constantly seeking, questioning, and learning. Springing from a background in fashion, design, and construction, Lost Quarry is a design space for ideas that defy definition. The story begins with ceramic vessels and cement paintings inspired by travel. The materials chosen are purposefully selected. Clay, brass, steel, and oak offer both the longevity to make lasting objects while perceptibly evolving and changing over time thus giving them meaning. While each individual piece is unique, every object created is inextricably linked and together they tell a story. Lost Quarry embraces a sustainable philosophy by creating what is needed and using salvaged materials whenever possible.

 All work is designed and created in Brooklyn and upstate NY.
