Trying to fly is a white stoneware sculptural vessel by Evamarie Pappas. Inspired by the seaside birds near her home, this sculpture has two winged vessels and a white satin glaze. It is functional and can hold water. This work is one of a kind and hand-built. Pappas' art is the result of banishing thoughts from her mind and letting intuition take over. Organic in form, her ceramic sculptures draw inspiration from the forest and gardens surrounding her home and the sea.
