Handmade in Italy, Miho's cloth candlesticks are a beautiful example of fine artisanal craftsmanship. Reticolo is a single candle holder in soft hues of green, yellow, grey, and gold, featuring intricate woven detailing reminiscent of classic passementerie. Style the Reticolo on its own, or complete the family with Broccatos - shown styled altogether in the second and third images.

Passementerie's origins can be traced back to nomadic tribes in the Middle East that used cords to help construct tents and tie provisions onto camels or donkeys during travel. Eventually, artisans began experimenting with the woven ties, turning the functional tools into decorative art pieces. The art form was recognized in 16th Century France - where similar woven materials were used to prevent the unraveling of a cord or knot on cushions and draperies - and named Passementerie, which translates to "turning by the hand".
