Moshe Vessel is a sculptural ceramic vessel by English ceramicist Talia James. Made from hand from terracotta, Moshe is twice-fired and then covered in a copper glaze with verdigris-colored markings. Inspired by Brutalist architecture and design, James' Moshe is named after renowned Brutalist architect Moshe Safdie.
James is influenced by the Wabisabi simplicity of the pottery made in Mashiko, Japan, where James trained as a ceramicist, and the artwork and culture of Morocco, where she traces her heritage. James's ceramics celebrate both the surfaces of the natural world and marks left by her hand. This vessel is not watertight and should only be used with dried florals.
Note: Slight variations in glaze and size will occur due to the hand-made nature
Material: Glazed ceramic
