The Mini Bud Vase in Sand by sculptor and designer, Abid Javed, is a petite sculptural ceramic vessel with a textured finish. The vase was hand-built, using the pinch, coil, and slab methods. Abid first launched a larger style of the bud vase in 2021, this smaller version is perfect for that leftover single stalk from your flower market bouquet or a fragrant sprig of herbs. The stoneware piece is functional and watertight. 

With a background in Molecular Biology, Abid works in a range of scale and clay bodies, carefully crafting each piece to bring a biological narrative or an idea to the forefront - emphasis being on form and materiality. He incorporates a strong interplay between form, color, texture and spaces into each of his designs. Therefore, each piece is a labour of love to transform living spaces.
