Candelabra Karmi is a 9-arm ceramic candelabra by English ceramicist Talia James. Created to use as a Hanukkah menorah, Karmi is a stunning piece of ceramic art we encourage you to use all year long. Inspired by Brutalist architecture and design, James' menorah is named after the Israeli architect Ram Karmi, whose Brutalist buildings dot the city of Tel Aviv.

James' work is influenced by the wabi-sabi simplicity of the pottery made in Mashiko, Japan, where she trained as a ceramicist, and the artwork and culture of Morocco, where she traces her heritage. The menorah is hand-built and glazed with a crawling glaze that pulls away and separates in the kiln's heat. The glossy beads of glaze contrast with the roughness of the black clay, giving each piece a unique look and texture. James's ceramics celebrate both the surfaces of the natural world and marks left by her hand.

Note: Slight variations in glaze and size will occur due to the hand-made nature

Material: Glazed ceramic
