The Golden Desire Collection is a series of decorative ceramic vessels featuring sculpted images of male figures on a textured surface by artist Gianfranco Briceño. Each vase is made from hand and is entirely unique.

"This collection explores the texture of the vases in a more daring way, it is somewhat reminiscent of the Narcissus Collection, but with an extra plus - all the pieces went through a third firing where I applied liquid gold, leaving a dazzling air on their finish.

With my ceramic work, I visualize each piece as a photograph. In my mind there is no possibility of creating a ceramic piece without seeing a human figure telling me something. The boys and scenes I draw in my ceramics always have an air of eroticism, seduction, mystery, pose, or contemplation." - Gianfranco Briceño

Briceño is a Peruvian ceramicist, sculptor, painter, and photographer based in São Paulo, Brazil. He uses themes of masculinity and sexuality in his photography, ceramics, painting, and sculpture.
