Forever Vase IV is a sculptural vase made of resin and a smattering of frozen-in-time hydrangea flowers. A creation from Kristin Yezza and crafted especially for our BLOOM capsule collection. 

"Cross pollinating between the scalloped flowers and shapes often seen in my ceramic pieces and the desire to incorporate real flowers into my work, this exploration into resin came about through much trial and error. Each piece is built of resin slabs poured into hand-built molds then hand-cut and configured into shape. The golden brown dried hydrangeas were harvested from my front yard this past fall, each petal plucked one by one from the stems and placed into the resin before being fully encapsulated. Working out of her basement studio in Shaker Heights, Ohio, Yezza compares her creative mindset to that of an explorer. “In this world where almost everything has been explored & google has all the answers, maybe the best thing you can do is explore your own self. That’s where all the newness is.” Kristin’s studio name, oon, is a phonetic reference to the French article ‘une’ denoting the singular and feminine in the French language, which feels appropriate for this solo endeavor.

This vase is watertight and may be used for freshly shorn stems.
