PINK OCTOBER
As the air (slowly) starts to chill and leaves begin to fall, October begins again. While you're busy preparing Halloween decorations and getting your holiday shopping lists in order, we ask for a moment or more of your attention as we highlight Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the NYU Langone Health Perlmutter Cancer Center.

According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer continues to be the most common cancer found in women in the United States. In 2022 alone, more than 285,000 American women will be diagnosed with the disease. While treatment has improved exponentially within the past few decades, we owe this progress to institutions like the Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center. However, care centers like Perlmutter rely on the generous donations of patrons to continue their research.
"For the more than 1.6 million Americans diagnosed with cancer every year, the best outcomes will depend on access to the latest treatments. Since the 1970s, five-year survival rates across all cancers have jumped from 49 to 68 percent because of innovations in care—the result of groundbreaking laboratory and clinical research. But a steady decline in federal research dollars means that crucial questions about how to eradicate cancer remain unanswered."

“I BELIEVE THAT WE’RE GOING TO CURE CANCER, IF NOT WITHIN MY LIFETIME, THEN WITHIN THE LIFETIMES OF YOUNG CLINICIANS THAT WE’RE RECRUITING. WE RESEARCHERS ARE OPTIMISTIC…WE ARE AT THE DAWN OF A NEW ERA OF PERSONALIZED MEDICINE.”-Benjamin Neel, MD Director, Perlmutter Cancer Center |

To honor the men and women who have fought, are still fighting, or who will fight this universal disease, LES Collection will be donating all profits from the sales of De La Jardin's Shura Vessel and La Lune Stroke Vessel in Femme to the Perlmutter Cancer Center. Jacqueline de la Fuente, the artist behind the De La Jardin name, will also be donating 50% of her profits from the sale of her work. Our founder, Lauren Sands, will then match our total donation. We hope you will consider supporting this very worthy cause.
Happy Pink October to you and your loved ones.
