Elena Savina is a self-taught ceramist from Saint-Petersburg, Russia, who started her work with clay at the beginning of the global pandemic. Her pieces are created with a coiling technique, textured by hand, and inspired by nature and canyons. Helen is trying to embrace the beauty of material and form by minimizing the glaze in her art. Curves in her work are intuitive and formed naturally in her sculpting process. Elena's work is known for textured surfaces, abstract and natural shapes. "By making vases and sculptures, I feel myself in the right place for the first time in my life, and it brings a sense of satisfaction, "— says Elena.
