Black Sheep Vessel is a sculptural vase by Artist Whitney Sharpe, the hands and heart behind Latch Key Ceramics. The high-temperature clay body is made from ceramic stoneware that is more mineral than terra cotta, lending the geometric sculpture a sturdy relic energy. More so a decorative piece, the vessel can hold water but will eventually absorb it and may sweat it off.

Latch Key is a limited-run ceramic studio based in Oakland, California. Every piece is a meditation - delicately sculpted with intention and reflective of the present. Whitney uses clay as a vehicle to translate concepts via structure and form, lending the process of discovery to be imbued within each piece created.
